ICYMI: here's Monday's genuinefred drop! I intended to share yesterday, but it ended up being a very Monday sort of day. And Tuesday did not start great with a 5 am tornado warning. Not a fun way to be jolted out of bed! This puzzle is called Kyoto and the artist is jocelyn.kao.illustration She's a freelance Illustrator based in Montreal. Jocelyn's work includes illustrations for editorials, fashion brands/magazines, book covers (that's my dream job), children's illustrations, and kids books. That is quite an impressive portfolio! Now, let me be completely honest here. Very, very rarely will I do puzzles with cats. I have a mental bias because I am very allergic AND am 100% team dog. But when it's something like this where it not a traditional cat, but a fun cat with a cool outfit holding an umbrella - that's a different story. This was a wonderfully fun puzzle with a plethora of patterns. I sorted my pieces by those patterns. The center portion with the red-orange structures (I am not sure what they are called) was most challenging for me. As you know, I always enjoy a Genuine Fred puzzle. I have consistently positive experiences in terms of both overall quality and the amazing variety of art. It was only appropriate to express today's mood with my daily cattitude flipchart.
